TruBank Continues Support of Disc Golf in Iowa with the Des Moines Challenge Disc Golf Sponsorship

The world's top professional disc golfers will compete in Indianola, Iowa, at the 2024 TruBank Des Moines Challenge presented by DGA. The tournament is scheduled for Friday, July 5th through Sunday, July 7th at Pickard Park. TruBank is once again excited to announce its commitment as the title sponsor of one of the best disc golf events in the World.  

“This event continues to bring in more and more people to watch the top disc golf professionals,” states TruBank CEO Keith Welling. “TruBank will always invest and support events or programs that directly benefit the communities we serve and are inclusive for everyone.” Central Iowa is very fortunate to have a top 75-rated disc golf course in the world and a large disc golf member presence. Many local players volunteer at the event to make it run smoothly. Passionate disc golf enthusiasts attend all three days of tournament play, observing from the first professional player teeing off to the final shot into the basket. They form a supportive and enthusiastic community.

Tournament Director Ty Tannatt has been working diligently to make the TruBank Des Moines Challenge an event everyone will want to attend. Ty has traveled to other Disc Golf Pro Tour professional tournaments and knows the TruBank Des Moines Challenge is a top tournament stop. “The players love Pickard. They love staying in Indianola. We focus upon player and fan perspective when we are either making changes to the course or adding new and exciting things for fans,” explains Ty Tannatt. 

Last year’s winner, Iowa native Gannon Buhr, a graduate of Northwest High School, is 100% focused on his professional disc golf career. He has already won one Disc Golf Pro Tour event this year, currently sits in 2nd place in Disc Golf Pro Tour points, and is hoping to repeat at this year’s tournament. TruBank’s sponsorship will once again make DMC one of the highest-paid professional tournaments, including the highest purse for the women’s division. 

Spectator tickets are on sale now. Individuals will have several different ticket options available to partake in the 3-day event.
